I’ve decided to dump Google Custom Search until it’s more customizable and have gone back to the built-in WordPress search. Please let me know if you run into any problems using the search.

In the still of the night...

With the weather being so nice last week, it was the perfect opportunity to take some night photos. I took these out on our deck with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i and Canon EF 75-300mm lens.

They came out ok, but I really need to get a remote shutter trigger for the camera due to the crazy amount of shake I get from pressing the shutter button down. I guess I’ll have to make a trip to Pro Photo Supply soon.

Hitting a home run

This is one of the most addictive games I’ve played on my iPhone (Frenzicicon is another) and, at 99 cents, it’s definitely worth the download. icon

Quickly take a window screenshot in Mac OS X

From Apple’s Pro Tips:

Hold down the Command, Shift, and 4 keys, then press the Spacebar. Instead of a cross-hair cursor, a small camera icon appears. When you move this camera icon over the element you’d like to capture, that element is highlighted. Click your mouse or trackpad, and you’ve captured a screenshot of just that element — no further cleanup required.

I knew about Command+Shift+4 and use it all the time, but I never knew about the spacebar trick to capture a particular window or element on the screen.
