Alex laughing

What’s the easiest way to make a baby start laughing hysterically? Apparently, all you have to do is sneeze.

These days when we feed the twins, we usually give them a bottle first and then a container of baby food. Last night, Nick decided that he wanted nothing to do with the bottle and just wanted the pears he was going to get afterwards. The look he gives me at around the 35 second mark says it all.

Alex has been really pissy lately—lots of screaming and lots of making the most annoying noise on the planet (“aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnggggggghhhhhhhh”)—so I was happy to get this shot of him smiling last week.

R.I.P., Dad.

My mom and dad at our wedding in October 2008.

Tonight was easily one of the worst nights of my life and it still hasn’t really sunk in. One thing’s for sure, it wasn’t supposed to happen like this.

We love you, and you will be greatly missed.
