Playing with Pano

The other night while I was browsing the iTunes App Store, I came across Panoicon.

Panoicon is an app that allows you to take panoramic photos directly from your phone. The part that really caught my interest is that the stitching happens directly on the phone so there’s no need to merge the photos with desktop software afterwards (which can be a pain in the ass).

After I mowed the lawn today, I was hanging out on the deck with the dogs and thought I’d give it a try. Here are the two panoramas I took:

Deck and part of the yard

The deck and part of the yard.

Doghouse, dogs and deck

Doghouse, dogs, and deck.

Not too bad considering it took me about 30 seconds to take each of them. If you’ve got an iPhone, I definitely suggesting giving Panoicon a try (it’s $2.99 and worth every penny, IMO).
