MacWorld predictions

As I mentioned before, I’m heading off to San Francisco tonight for MacWorld. So, as I sit here waiting to head to the airport, I thought I’d share my predictions for what we can expect to be released/announced. In no particularly order, here they are:

  • A much more in-depth Leopard preview than we got at WWDC. This one will include the “top secret” features that weren’t announced at WWDC. I also think a we’ll see a new/updated/improved UI.
  • New MacBook Pros. Call me crazy on this one, but it’s been a year since they were announced with no real major changes other than a few speed bumps. I’m not sure what will change (and it may just be additional speed bumps), but I think we’ll see something new with the MacBook Pro.
  • iTV. This is as much of a sure thing as the Leopard preview since it was announced as the “one more thing” back in September.
  • New iLife and iWork. These get updated pretty much every year at MacWorld, so no surprise here.
  • Some sort of content deal with additional movie houses. This will fit in well with the iTV (or whatever it’s renamed to).
  • *Drumroll* – the iPhone. Yes, I think we’ll see the long-rumored iPhone as the “one more thing” this year. Besides, it’s got to happen this year. My magic 8-ball told me so.

Well, there ya have it folks. Nothing too insightful but, really, what did you expect from me? :-P
