Apple releases the MacBook
As a bunch of rumor sites predicted, Apple released the replacement for the iBook and 12” PowerBook today. It’s got a 13.3” widescreen display and is called the MacBook. Unlike previous iBook models, it’s available in black or white.
While they were at it, they also announced speed bumps for the MacBook Pro. The low-end model now has a 2.0GHz processor, while the high-end has a 2.16GHz processor. The also added an option for a high-gloss display (at no additional charge). Damn you, Apple. *shakes fist* Now my formerly high-end 2.0GHz MacBook Pro feels old.
